Testimony of Ssonko Kukkiriza Adolf
My name is Ssonko Kukkiriza Adolf. I am the apostle of Great Commission Touch Center Churches in Uganda and across Africa. First of all, I am grateful for connecting with the President of FDM, Craig Caster, and his team: Dr. Jonathan King, the Director of FDMI, and the Regional Director for Africa, Letema Leizer.
FDM became a blessing to us from the 3-day workshop that took place in Nabweru, Kampala, Uganda. This workshop was the starting point for the solutions and answers to the questions we have had about making disciples, with Matthew 28:19-20 as the key scripture.
I learned that discipleship starts in our families. This revelation opened my eyes and stirred my spirit to disciple my wife and children. The teaching about discipling every believer had a profound impact. Matthew 28:19-20 applies to all believers, yet most Christians don’t relate to being disciples, thinking it’s only for an elite group for which they don’t qualify.
The marriage and parenting classes taught me that the best way to start discipleship is in this area. I also learned that counseling is an important part of discipleship. I learned to point people to Jesus Christ and His Word for salvation, helping them understand why and how problems exist in their lives, and teaching them to walk in righteousness and tend to what God has given them, all according to His Word.
I have improved in being strategic and visionary. My family discipleship has grown—my wife and children are now very active in our ministry. I am also discipling all my believers, and they are very active as well. Currently, I am in Hoima City, making disciples.
