Testimony of Jema John
I first want to thank God for the opportunity to be part of FDMI; it’s truly an answered prayer and a tremendous blessing.
Personally, I believe this training is for my benefit. After experiencing the content, my perspective on the Great Commission has completely shifted—from wondering how we could disciple our people to knowing there’s a clear way to do it.
I live in a city and community characterized by high divorce rates, early marriages, child-led homes, and absentee fathers, all of which have deeply affected families. Even within the church, it’s difficult to find good patterns for family leadership and relationships.
After carefully reviewing the course content, I knew it was the answer to a deep desire in my heart. To God’s glory, I’m privileged to be one of the first beneficiaries, and its impact is already evident in my family. My priorities are being realigned to the things that matter most in life, and I am making intentional changes—starting with becoming a true disciple and then discipling my family as a model home where Christ can be revealed to the surrounding community.
By God’s grace, I’ve encouraged many in our church to enroll in the training, with the hope that each will impact their homes and communities. After completing the first round of training, I’ve mobilized others from a distant community and now meet with them weekly to equip them to evangelize and establish discipleship groups. To God’s glory, we’ve also begun a month-long New Testament Bible reading challenge, and we are making great strides. Praise God!
I believe that in two years, we will see a team of disciple-makers rise in our region, passionate about souls and committed to growing in Christlikeness. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to learn and grow.
With heartfelt appreciation,
Yours in the Lord’s service,
Apostle Jema John
