FDM Graduation & Commissioning in Moding, Kenya

On 7th February 2026, we held a wonderful and successful graduation/commissioning event for pastors and church leaders who completed the entire FDM course after going through all 11 FDM workbooks, from DVS to PIAM.

Forty participants went through the training, including pastors, church leaders, and youth, all of whom shared powerful testimonies after completing the program.

The host bishop of Elevation Church, Moses Obwana, who had earlier participated in the FDM Launch in Malaba last year, was deeply impacted by the teachings—especially those on marriage and parenting. Since his church is located in a rural region and he has a number of leaders supporting his ministry, he embraced the FDM vision and saw the need to empower his leadership through the same training.

The bishop opened the door for me to begin training his leaders, and it was tremendously fruitful. The major focus and intention of engaging his leadership was to take them through the discipleship process so they could grow spiritually in their Christian lives. As lay ministers, he desired for them to go deeper in the gospel so they could help win souls and contribute to the growth of the church.

We heard touching testimonies from seven leaders, including a youth who said the most outstanding part of the course was the study on marriage. He boldly proclaimed that he is preparing for marriage, having learned the clear biblical truth that marriage is God’s plan for a man and woman to live together in a holy union and be blessed.

An elder testified that the teaching on marriage transformed his mindset and changed how he relates to his wife, unlike before when he viewed her merely as a home based slave.

A pastor gave a tearful testimony, sharing that he had not taken his wife seriously as the mother of his children. After being impacted by the teaching, he pursued forgiveness and reconciliation, and they are now happily living and serving God together.

A single mother who had been mishandling her children out of a bitter and unforgiving heart repented and testified that she is now in harmony with her children, and they are living happily as a family.

Another leader testified about his involvement in adultery. After studying marriage, he experienced transformation and is now committed to loving and honoring his wife as the only woman in his life.

A young man shared that after learning about godly leadership in the home, he brought alignment to his family, where there had previously been patterns of abusive language toward his wife and children.

One of the most outstanding testimonies came from a female leader who was deeply impacted by the study on marriage and is now actively counseling young adults in the community on marital issues.

In summary, FDM has made a significant impact on church leaders, pastors, and the wider community of Moding, Malaba, in western Kenya through Elevation Church under the leadership of Bishop Moses Obwana. All glory be to God.

We thank God for the President of FDM, Ps. Craig Castor, Dr. Jonathan King, the Director, the administrative team, and all partners who make it possible for us to travel and conduct these training trips.

I pray for you all and believe that your efforts to serve for the sake of the gospel in these regions of Kenya are not in vain. May He continue to expand your territory in Jesus’ name.
